Steps to Achieving Personal Wellness

Personal wellness is a common goal that everyone shares. The concept seems lofty, but with the right mindset, anyone can achieve personal wellness. Traditionally, when we say wellness, it implies a certain freedom from disease or sickness. However, physical health is just one part of the wellness equation. True personal wellness encompasses the many aspects that make up your person—your physical wellness, emotional wellness, and social wellness. Certain events often prompt us to renew our personal wellness goals, but how many of us manage to stick to these goals in the long run? More often than not our wellness goals are not realized because there is no plan to act on. Here are some steps you can take to achieve your personal wellness goals: Create a personal definition of wellness. It all starts with knowing exactly what you want to achieve. What are the sustainable health and wellness changes that you want to make in your life? How do you picture wellness in your mind? A sample of a personal wellness goal could be, “My definition of wellness in the next six months is to lose weight by eating healthy and exercising regularly so I can be less at risk for heart-related diseases.” List your desired outcomes. With your definition of wellness, identify the points that you want to change. With the earlier example, your desired outcomes can be to follow a healthy meal plan, enrol for a yoga class, etc. These detailed steps will form daily habits that eventually become lasting lifestyle changes. Know your motivation. What is driving you to move towards your wellness goals? Does seeing a wellness coach motivate you to start living healthy? Whatever your motivations are, these will push you to continue striving towards your goal. Identify potential obstacles. The road to any goal is littered with obstacles and it is important to recognize what could stand between you and your wellness goal. If you tend to eat more when you’re depressed or if you’re prone to bouts of laziness, note these down. Develop strategies to conquer obstacles. After you’ve identified what can keep you from your goal, create and implement realistic strategies to help you overcome them. If you’re prone to stress-eating, keep healthy snacks within reach. If you have more energy in the morning, schedule your exercises during that time. Also know that the occasional mistake is okay. The important thing is that you get up, learn from the mistake, and stay on track.   Also remember that goals take time to achieve, so it is important to set the right pace for you. Keep evaluating your goals and strategies from time to time, and adjust accordingly. Keep these steps in mind, and you’ll be on the right track towards personal wellness. How To Increase Your Glutathione Levels

What is Glutathione? Glutathione, popularly known as GSH and nicknamed Glute, is normally produced by our body and found inside every cell in our body, including the cells of the immune system. What Is Glutathione For? GSH has been spread across countries due to people’s desire for a fairer complexion and quest for the fountain of health and youth. This is because topically applied gluthathione has its side effort of slowing down the production of melanin, and as a result, there is less melanin pigment and the skin becomes whiter. But GSH is more than just for skin whitening. It is, in fact, an essential factor in energy utilization, detoxification, and preventing the diseases we associate with aging. You can do many things to help increase this natural and important antioxidant in your body. Here are some tips on how you can boost your glutathione levels: Exercise regularly Vigorous aerobic exercises like walking or jogging, or playing various sports improve detoxification and enhances your body’s own antioxidant defenses. Strength training for 20 minutes 3 times a week is also helpful. Consume sulfur-rich foods Main ones that you should include in your diet are garlic and onions. Fruits and vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, watercress, spinach, potatoes, asparagus, avocado, squash, okra, walnuts, are some foods that also supports glutathione production. Eat high quality whey protein Quality whey provides all the key amino acids for glutathione production. Choose non-pasteurized and non-industrially produced milk that contains no pesticides, hormones, or antibiotics. Glutathione also occurs in the highest levels in fresh, uncooked meats and raw eggs. Take glutathione supporting supplements There are main supplements that need to be taken consistently to boost glutathione. Besides taking a multivitamin and fish oil, supporting glutathione levels with certain types of supplements is equally important for your health.   Vietura offers safe intravenous administration of pharmaceutical grade Glutathione. Read about Vietura's Body Whitening and Smoothening Treatments or book your FREE consulation HERE. Conquering Killer Heels

Heels can be a woman’s best friend. They spruce up the plainest outfits, and there’s that empowering quality to them, making the wearer feel like they can own the world. Then again, they can also be a nightmare. No one likes calluses, or having an unwanted Cinderella moment. Luckily, these mishaps can be avoided if you break in your new shoes properly. So how do you keep your killer heels from killing you? Here are a few tips: New shoes tend to slide easily on smooth floorings or carpets. Before you use your new pair for the first time, rub the sole with sandpaper, paying more attention to the front and the heels. Even if you get a pair of shoes in the correct size, you will probably find that they take a while before they finally fit just right. That’s because the material needs to stretch first. Give them a test run at home for at least 30 minutes. Wearing thick socks while doing this helps it along. Another trick to help stretch the leather is to rub the interiors with a cotton ball dabbed in a bit of alcohol. Pick up shoe aids the next time you visit the pharmacy or beauty store. There are plenty of those available, from anti-slip sole stick-on’s to gel cushions, blister plaster packs to shock-absorbing cushion pads. Buy the ones that suit your specific needs. Want to wear power heels to work without the stress? Wear flip-flops while walking or commuting to work, then quickly and subtly change into your work shoes before you step into the office.   Now you can do so much more with your new heels! The Natural Way to Remove Acne

What is acne? Acne develops when sebum (the oily liquid produced by the oil glands under the skin), skin cells, and bacteria clog the pores of your skin, which results in swelling, or pimples. When your body’s hormones surge, the body produces more sebum, making you more prone to acne. Using greasy cosmetic products can also cause acne, especially if it is not right for your skin type. There are different types of pimples and there are various acne treatments that can be done depending on how severe or persistent it is. While topical acne treatments are readily available at pharmacies, there are also natural ways to remove stubborn pimples: Natural Acne Treatment #1: Lemon Juice Because lemon juice is rich in Vitamin C and is highly acidic, it is effective in removing dead skin cells and repairing damaged skin. Soak a cotton ball in lemon juice and apply to your skin after you wash and leave it to dry. You can use lemon juice as a toner up to three times a day. Natural Acne Treatment #2: Baking Soda Baking soda is also good for removing dead skin cells because it is alkaline. Also, because of its fine particles, it is gentle and effective for your skin. Use baking soda as an exfoliant by mixing 1 teaspoon of baking soda with a bit of water until you get the consistency of loose paste. Massage the mixture onto your skin with small deliberate circular motions, focusing on the infected area. Rinse carefully using warm water. Natural Acne Treatment #3: Honey Honey is great for healing current acne breakouts as well as previous ones. Microwave an open jar of honey for 1o seconds. After washing your hands and face, apply the honey on the problem area in circular motions. Natural Acne Treatment #4: Water Increasing your water intake flushes out toxins that slows down cell functions like eliminating the sebum that causes pimples. Natural Acne Treatment #5: Sweat Because most toxins are eliminated through our skin, it is one of the main reasons we get acne. Sweating speeds up the elimination of these toxins and lessens the likelihood of breakouts. Try doing simple exercises, or just walking for 10-15 minutes to work up a sweat.   For more severe cases of acne, it is recommended that you see a dermatologist, or a specialist at a skin care center. You may be prescribed skin care products or medication, or advised to undergo specialized treatments.
