Ingredients for Pork Chops with Orange-Soy Sauce

4 bone-in pork chops, (1 1/2-1 3/4 pounds)

1 cup orange juice

1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste

Freshly ground pepper, to taste

2 teaspoons canola oil


How to Prepare Pork Chops with Orange-Soy Sauce

  1. Preheat your oven to 400° F.
  2. Combine your orange juice, soy sauce, garlic and thyme in a bowl, and set aside.
  3. Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
  4. After heating oil in a large ovenproof skillet over high heat, add the pork chops and sear for 1 to 2 minutes or until both sides are brown.
  5. Transfer skillet to the oven and bake the pork chips for 5 minutes or until they are cooked through. Set aside on a plate and keep warm.
  6. Take your orange juice-soy sauce mixture to the pan and cook over high heat for 3-5 minutes or until the sauce is reduced by half.
  7. Return the pork chops to the pan and turn to heat them through and coat them in sauce.  Serve the pork chops with the sauce from the pan.
